We will summarize the recent workshops focusing on the challenges to the more widespread adoption of patient-centric sampling for clinical diagnostics, and discuss how to deliver solutions.

Patient-centric sampling (PCS) has the potential to revolutionize the process of sample collection for clinical diagnostics. This approach can facilitate the collection of samples in places away from clinical facilities, such as at home. Furthermore, PCS can enable sampling for those that may have difficulty with routine venous sampling, such as children, the elderly, individuals with needle phobia, those with learning disabilities, people in remote locations, and can enable more regular sampling.

However, there are hurdles to overcome to enable effective adoption of PCS. These challenges and their potential solutions were discussed in a series of North American and European online PCSIG events (April and May 2026), and an in-person workshop at ADLM (July 2026).

This webinar will summarize the challenges and invite the expert panel and online audience to discuss the potential solutions and deliverables.
